Headed Welded Shear Stud Rail System AWS D1.1 Standard Reinforcement Concrete Prefabricated
Prefabricated Reinforcement Concrete Shear Stud Rail AWS D1.1 Standard
TARCO Global’s Shear Stud Rails consist of double-headed forged steel studs welded to rails with a minimum yield strength of 500 MPa. These rails play a crucial role in providing punching shear reinforcement for slabs by effectively increasing the transfer area responsible for handling vertical loads and directing them to the column. Strengthening slabs with punching shear reinforcement, such as shear stud rails, is a fast and economical solution for the problem. SRG Global’s range of shear stud rails are bespoke to customer requirements and are manufactured in Australia to comply with Australian Standards.
PSR Shear Stud
The PSR shear studs used in the fabrication of Tarco Studrails are of Low Carbon Steel ASTM A29 Grade 1010 through 1020 steel accordance with ASTM-A108. The strength and ductility requirements are:
Yield Strength: 51,000 psi (350 MPa) minimum
Tensile Strength: 65,000 psi (450 MPa) minimum
Elongation in 2 in.: 20% minimum
Reduction in Area: 50% minimum
Rail Flat Plate:
The rails used in Tarco Studrail are Low Carbon Steel Type 44W and ASTM A36 with the following strength and ductility requirements:
Yield Strength: 44,000 psi (300 MPa) minimum
Tensile Strength: 65,000 psi (450 MPa) minimum
Elongation in 8 in.: 20% minimum
Stud Welding
The studs are welded in accordance with AWS D1.1.
